FAQ

Good questions.

Do you give estimates or quotes?

Nope. If you want a total to plan around, you can ask for a time cap for each visit before the job starts. Check out the Rates page for more info.

What area do you serve?

Anywhere in the Pinellas County given enough availability. Closer to central St. Pete when time is limited. Jobs farther away may be possible if scheduled in advance. Visit the Contact page and reach out if you'd like to see what's possible.

How do I pay?

Cash, Venmo, CashApp, or PayPal. Trade may be possible if it's agreed on before the job.

Do materials cost extra?

You're charged exactly what the materials cost, with no markup. We'll talk through what's needed before the visit, and time spent gathering materials beforehand isn't billed. If a supply run is needed mid-job, it's on the clock but you'll know what's being picked up and from where first.

What jobs can't you take on?

Major structural, plumbing, or electrical work that requires a Florida license, and anything that needs a truck, tools, or a skill set that can't reasonably be picked up before the project needs to happen. Very large or heavy items also aren't something that can be moved solo.

Are there any discounts?

Yes — $10 off same-day for a review comment on the Handy Lady LLC Facebook page, $10 off same-day for permission to post before-and-after photos, and $20 off a future visit for every referral who books a job.

What are your hours?

Monday–Wednesday 5:30–11 pm, Saturday 9 am–4 pm, Sunday and holidays 9 am–11 pm. Thursday and Friday are usually unavailable, but it never hurts to ask. Visit the Contact page and reach out to see about scheduling a visit. .

Can your dog come to the job?

If you're a fan of four-legged friends, Betty — a well-behaved rescued mini Australian shepherd — is happy to tag along wherever dogs are welcome. Just mention it when you reach out.

Is anything off-limits to ask about?

Unusual requests are genuinely welcome, as long as they're legal and non-sexual. Anything outside that will be declined and, where relevant, reported.
